Default Battle Rage?

I was wondering whether or not any of you had possibly a Battle Rage build to share. It seems a bit underrated to me. The 33% speed buff takes off rush. The double adrenaline gain is supposedly more than a 33% attack speed boost's adrenaline gain. However, you're getting reduced damage . Or is everyone just afraid of the "17 seconds."

I tried doing some calculations, but I'm not that good with numbers :

Attack Speeds:

Axe: 1.33
Sword: 1.33
Hammer: 1.75

Axe and Sword with 33% boost:

1.33*0.66=0.8778

Axe and Sword at five seconds:

5/0.8778=5.7

5/1.33=3.76
3.76*2=7.52

Hammer with 33% boost:

1.75*0.66=1.155

Hammer at five seconds:

5/1.155=4.33

5/1.75=2.9
2.9*2=5.8

Testing it at 10 seconds:

Axe and Sword at ten seconds:

10/0.8778=11.4

10/1.33=7.52
7.52*2=15.04

Hammer at ten seconds:

10/1.155=8.66

10/1.75=5.71
5.71*2=11.42

There are [[Battle Rage] builds around, mainly Proph-only sword builds. Being a stance, you can't run an IAS. Although BR gives 100% more adr as opposed to an IAS which gives 50% more, the IAS gives 50% more damage due to the extra attacks.

The idea of BR is to build up huge amounts of adr and spam big adr skills quickly, but [["For Great Justice!"] and [[Dragon Slash] do it so much better that BR is an obsolete skill (not to mention BR is elite and ends if you use a non-attack skill, including reapplying BR.)).

So basically, FGJ+Rush+Frenzy > Battle Rage...

Well... I mean 3 skills >>> 1 elite D:

Made this up but, spamzage anyone?

[Dismember]
[Executioner's Strike]
Eh... [Penetrating Blow] anyone?
Eh... [Penetrating Chop] anyone?
Eh... [Distracting Blow] anyone?
[Protector's Strike]
[Battle Rage]
[Resurrection Signet]

Questions:

Does FGJ stack with Battle Rage, cause that would just be freaking awesome.
How does 33% boost become 50% more adrenaline gain?

It's really just frenzy > battle rage. Not having an IAS hurts.

However, battle rage is really fun with [never rampage alone] with a zealous weapon and pure adrenal skills.

It doesn't, adrenaline gain is capped at 100% more, though single skills can exceed that cap, like [focused anger]

A 33% boost in attack speed means you get 50% more hits in. 50% more hits means 50% more adrenaline and 50% more base damage.

Battle Rage wouldn't be so bad if it didn't wipe your adrenaline on refresh or when it end. Because then you could have an IAS to unload it. I probably wouldn't use it still, but it'd be a lot more useable than it is now.

Battle Rage isn't that bad. I used to run this on heroes:
[battle rage][dismember][body blow][agonizing chop][no skill][purge signet][succor][resurrection signet]
It's far from great, but it's about as good as you'll get with Battle Rage.

Battle Rage is quite fun, I used to do the life bond/succor thing in RA when I was new to the game.

Nowadays the only battle rage template ive got is purge + interrupts. Particulary useful when facing a heavy hex meta.

Enraging Charge / Battle Rage / Disarm / Protectors Strike / Agonising Chop / Disrupting Chop / Purge Signet / Res Sig

It's ok.. used to be better when agonising was an 1/2 sec attack though. Perhaps you'd be better off taking executioner's for agonising now. Also, I'd probably try to fit in a bull's strike. I remember having troubles to deliver the final blow while I was playing this.

Disarm/protectors is pretty decent though. It makes up for the lack of IAS nicely.

Enraging is pretty much there to instantly recharge ur BR once it has ended

This reminds me of the time my guild played in TA. The two Warrior builds were:
[Battle Rage][Dismember][Axe Rake][Executioner's Strike][Purge Signet][Balthazar's Spirit][Succor][Resurrection Signet]
[Rush][Dismember][Axe Rake][Executioner's Strike][Purge Signet][Life Barrier][Life Bond][Resurrection Signet]

This lead us to a few 50+ win streaks and even beating War Machine once. Of course, this was a long time ago, several months before Factions was released (when my guild was still The Exiled Vanguard of Illumination [EVIL]). We'd 'bond up' the Monk and proceed to wreak havoc because the prevalent thought in the arenas at the time was 'go for the Monk' and we made our Monk extremely resilient. Not exactly the best team build, but it was good for our purposes of farming players who didn't understand team synergy

Weapon of aggression is simply to expensive, unless you run a zealous weapon you simply cant regen energy fast enough to use it more than 2 times in a battle.(assuming your not running radiant armor/+5energy weapon)

I think Battle Rage might be an ok skill on an Axe war in AB. You use BR to build your adren, then Shock your target and Frenzy him with [dismember][executioners strike].

Battle Rage was originaly used in Sword bars pre-factions. Sword didnt have any good elites, just crappy Hundred Blades so Sword warriors used all sorts of elites including Battle Rage. however nowadays with so many options for all 3 weapons all those Strength and Tactics elites are very obselete...

Uh, Shock ends Battle Rage, thereby draining your adrenaline...

Did you somehow forget ["Charge!"] and [Bull's Charge]? They were used far more often than Battle Rage.

so yeah, i was trying out my 55mo and got the shield from ARARAHSHSHSHH(yeti in happy valley), the big one with spieks, so i wanted to check it out with some spieky armor - leet charr, and then i "found" my ole obsi helm which happened to have a sup strength on it. SO - I was looking really spieky and cool and I thought hmpfs that yeti was using some kinda battle rage wasnt he? so since im wielding "his" shield I thought i might as well use his elite. And that's the story about how I randomed my way to this build:
[Battle Rage] - Fast Adr. build and nice sugarrush-like state
[POWER STRIEK!1!!] - I like to use atleast one nrgy attack for sneaky foes that deny adr. and it's nicely boosted with 16str and way spammable.
[Standing Slash] - yeah.
[Whirlwind Attack] - yeah.
[Final Thrust] - finisher for squishy foes
["Finish Him!"] - finisher for foes with higher armor rating
[Endure Pain] - since im always rushing to the next mob after the previous one is dead it's a nice buff to keep me alive until the healers catch up.
[Frenzied Defense] - can be swapped for something that's needed for a particular area(prefer SY for HM). but block is always nice and who cares about taking xxtra dmg? THERE'R MONKS D:

Was using Bull's Strike at first but it was too hard to time monster kiting(i sukz) so i dropped it for FT

this was a 2 minute build that I haven't played for more than a couple hours but it works fine and running fast and killing things is gre4t phun. hope it can be of some use/inspiration for you.

cheers

You'll probably want to make it a pet build so that you can use the Sunspear skill Never Rampage Alone for the IAS. The cost is prohibitive, but with a zealous weapon, +5 energy somewhere (+5 energy inscription, radiant insignia or just a plain old staff will do), and mostly adrenal skills, it should be okay.

After that, you just have to choose a weapon type and fight like a maniac. You also get Mending like regeneration so your wammo buddies won't laugh at you!

DOH! I've not use it in such a long time I totaly forgot its lame ending effect.

Guess you could swap [bulls strike] in for shock...

Still I would go with just about any other elite!
